Meet Jon
Long-time Lake Elsinore resident with over 22 years of experience working with male and female basketball players at the Elementary, Junior High, High School and Collegiate levels in Southern California.
I believe my unique talent lies in my passion to help young athletes develop and improve their understanding of the game and help them with their individual goals.
The training sessions provide an encouraging environment for athletes to develop and improve the core basketball skills needed at any level – beginner to elite.
Experience
· Varsity Assistant Coach at High School in Lake Elsinore Unified School District, focused on skill development.
· Over 15 years as a coach/instructor for the Marumoto Basketball Academy in Orange County, Ca., providing athletes of all ages with individual and group training sessions. Also, coached a Spring Girls High School league for several years. Tom Marumoto is well-known in Orange County for his basketball academy focusing on shooting and offensive skills.
· 10 plus years experience as a coach at various basketball camps and clinics, including the LA Lakers Youth Basketball Camp, providing instruction on shooting, offensive and defensive skills, and game concepts.
· Over 10 years experience as a Youth basketball coach in Orange County and the Inland Empire, including Junior High and High School AAU/Travel basketball teams.
· Several years offering skill development sessions to Junior High and High School athletes in the Lake Elsinore area.
